Power Supply
RSpell supports power supply via USB-C (5V) or PoE (Power over Ethernet).
PoE is available on specific models only. See the product page for details.

If PoE is available, the device is powered through it. If PoE voltage drops below the required value, RSpell automatically switches to USB-C power.
RS Channels
RSpell is equipped with 4 separate RS485 lines. Can be switched to RS422 mode.
Channel map
Secure
Each channel is isolated and intended for long-distance, stable communication. Channel assignment and mapping details will be documented with the control interface.
For signal integrity, the RS485 bus must be terminated with a resistor at both physical ends of the line; do not enable termination on intermediate nodes. For more detail, see here.
Termination is activated using the DIP switch to the right of the connector. Is activated when the DIP switch is in the lower position.
SoC
RSpell use the Milk-V Duo S as SoC.

- CPU: dual-core RISC-V C906 (1.0 GHz + 700 MHz)
- ARM core: 1x Cortex-A53 @ 1.0 GHz (boot-select, not simultaneous with RISC-V)
- Ethernet: 100 Mbps RJ45
- USB: USB 2.0
Storage (microSD)
RSpell includes a microSD card slot for storage expansion. Supports cards up to 2 TB (microSDXC).
